When In The History Of Boxing Manny Pacquiao Was Knocked Out And Defeated?

On December 8, 2012, Las Vegas, USA, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao lost and knocked out by Juan Manuel Marquez in the 6th round. It was the Feast of the Immaculate Conception — a spiritual icon whom Pacquiao turned against after he found a new faith. Of all dates, why on December 8 — a date revered by the Catholic Christendom. Coincidence?

Pacman was a devout Catholic then. He never failed to hear mass and receive the Eucharist before any of his fight. A rosary was always around his neck and he never failed to make the sign of the cross whenever he could. After enjoying all the glories, and the money and fame he achieved from around the world, he turned his back from the Catholic Church.

Last June (2012), his first fight being a non-Catholic, Pacquiao lost to Timothy Bradley by (controversial) decision. Today, December 8, USA time, he lost to Juan Manuel Marquez. This time, there's no controversy. It was a pure and clear knockout.

Point of View. His new found faith has nothing to do with his loss. He remains a Christian. He just moved to another church. I don't think the Mother of Jesus would take his turning against her personally. Every thing happens for a reason. There's time to win; there's time to lose. Maybe this time, The Lady of Guadalupe - a Marian icon revered by the Mexicans -  on her feast (December 12), had to favor them by gifting Marquez a victory. Coincidentally, the birthday of Pacman's son is on December 12.
